Do you need some healthy lunch ideas? I decided to try making the healthy bento boxes I’ve seen at Starbucks, Target, and the local Grocery store. They provide variety to your daily lunches and can be made to fit any of your dietary needs. Most of mine are lower in carbs as it meets my needs for that time of the day.

Not only do I plan on making these my weekday lunches, but I also want to takes these with me on Sunday’s when my boys have basketball games all day. I would rather not eat junk from a concession stand and eat something delicious and healthy.

Here are this weeks healthy lunch ideas and a free printable bento box list to help you create your own bento boxes below! Please do not mind my mash-up of containers, I have 3 children and containers are a hot commodity around here.

I made 4 bento boxes, but I am sure I will need to make more on Wednesday since I will start eating them on Sunday. I tried to add a protein, vegetable, and healthy fat to each box. Most of my carbs in these meals come from the vegetables, garbanzo beans, and parmesan crisp crackers.

Here is what is in each box:

  • Roasted Garbanzo Beans
  • Heirloom Tomatoes
  • English Cucumber
  • Cheese Stick

Box 2:

  • Feta and Berry Spring Mix Salad
  • Tuna in Water
  • Heirloom tomatoes
  • Yellow Peppers

Box 3:

  • Salami
  • Cheese Stick
  • Yellow Peppers
  • Blackberries
  • Walnuts

Box 4:

  • Guacamole
  • Parmesan Cheese Crisp Crackers(Aldi’s)
  • Yellow Peppers
  • Heirloom Tomatoes
  • English Cucumbers

The only item not pictured is a Greek Salad Dressing I purchased from Aldi’s to go with the Salad. It took me approximately 15 minutes to prep the items plus 15 minutes to roast the Garbanzo Beans. The mornings should now go pretty smooth. Now on to breakfast prep!
